Inspired by a collective of activists in Minneapolis who successfully advocated for the ability to build multifamily housing in more parts of their city, Neighbors for More Neighbors Ann Arbor advocates for a community that is inclusive, affordable, welcoming, and sustainable.
Currently, 72% of residential land in Ann Arbor is zoned for single-family housing only. This lack of flexibility in our zoning code contributes to a lack of equity in our community, and has far-reaching effects in Washtenaw county as a whole. In coming years, Ann Arbor will revise its City Master Plan, and Neighbors for More Neighbors Ann Arbor is invested in changes that make room for new neighbors.
Neighbors for More Neighbors Ann Arbor is a special project of the Washtenaw Housing Alliance.
